Save The Animals and Save Yourself

Humans are meant to be the only species that can bring peace and prosperity to earth. Sadly we are very far to both of these terms. Recently I have been to a seminar, explaining the importance of conserving animals.  I am a great pet lover and member of many animal protection organizations. I was very impressed by the way speaker was talking about animals, and I felt that the person genuinely cared and loved them. Unfortunately, after the seminar I saw the speaker behaving very rude with a street dog, who happened to have a broken limb taking shelter where his car was parked. His rude behavior made the dog run out of fear and pain. What kind of humanity are we talking about? Is this what we call as saving the animals, when our inhuman actions cause so much pain and misery to them?
